Pettis County, MO (April 1, 2026) – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday, March 31, on US-50 west of Monsees Road.

According to reports, a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 58-year-old man from Smithton, was traveling when it crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a 2021 Jeep Wrangler head-on. The Jeep was driven by a 45-year-old woman from Green Ridge.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released additional details at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
