Kansas City, MO – Driver Dies Days After Ejection Crash at 43rd St & The Paseo

Kansas City, MO (February 6, 2026) – On February 6, a driver who was seriously injured in a crash at the intersection of 43rd Street and The Paseo has died, according to Kansas City police. The crash occurred on Sunday, January 31, around 4:30 p.m.

Police reported that a Jeep Cherokee was traveling west on 43rd Street and entered the intersection from a stop sign. As it entered the crossing, the Jeep was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox traveling north on The Paseo.

The impact caused the Jeep to overturn. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered severe injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he later died several days after the crash. His name has not been released.
