Milwaukee, WI – Fatal SUV and Semi Crash on I-41/45 Near 124th St

Milwaukee, WI (November 14, 2025) – A woman lost her life in a deadly crash involving an SUV and a semi-truck on November 13 near the Milwaukee/Waukesha County line.

The crash occurred around 11:47 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 41/45 near 124th Street, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Officials say a semi-truck was slowing down in traffic near Highway 145 when an SUV struck the rear of the trailer. The SUV driver, a 47-year-old woman, died at the scene. Her identity has not been released at this time.

The freeway remained closed for several hours while authorities investigated the crash. Southbound traffic was diverted at the County Line Road exit during the closure. Police have not confirmed what caused the SUV to hit the semi, and the investigation remains active.
