St. Louis, MO – One Dead, Two Injured After Police Chase Ends in Violent Crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Dr
St. Louis, MO (December 8, 2025) – A late-night police chase that began in Wellston ended in a deadly crash on Sunday, December 7, after a speeding Ford sedan lost control and overturned in St. Louis City, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. after the North County Police Cooperative requested assistance following the pursuit.
Authorities say the white Ford sedan entered city limits at a high rate of speed before striking a median at Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Clara Avenue. The impact caused the vehicle to collide with two light posts, overturn, and then crash into a parked car containing five people near Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Burd Avenue.
The 41-year-old man driving the Ford died at the scene. Two occupants of the parked car were transported to a hospital to treat their injuries.
